What materials is your jewelry made out of?
We offer various types of jewelry to cater to all budgets! Our most popular finishes are regular-plated gold and silver and 18k Gold-Coated or stainless steel. We also offer some pieces in vermeil and gold filled. Before purchasing, please make sure to read the description carefully to make sure that you're ordering the right material! Our jewelry is nickel and lead-free.
Can I wear my jewelry in the shower, pool, or at the beach?
Whether we're just being lazy or want a pic for Instagram, we understand that you want to wear your pieces all the time! However, some materials need a little extra care and shouldn't be worn around water. Regular gold and silver-plated jewelry should be kept dry to avoid tarnishing and oxidation.
If you do want to keep your jewelry on 24/7, we recommend pieces that are 18k Gold-Coated, stainless steel, vermeil, or gold filled. These pieces are water-friendly for the most part. To keep your jewelry perfect for years to come, we recommend following the steps listed in our Care Instructions page.
Are your earrings hypoallergenic?
Even though our earrings are mostly gold or silver-plated, we coat the posts of the earrings in a protective, tarnish-resistant coating. Our earring posts are coated 2-3 times. This helps avoid the dreaded green color from oxidation as well. Please avoid scratching the posts of the earrings to ensure that the coating does not wear off.

Do the rings turn your finger green?
Short answer: no! Our rings are mostly gold and silver-plated, but we dip them into a protective, tarnish-resistant coating 2-3 times to completely seal the ring. This means that with light, everyday wear, our rings will not turn your finger green.
However, if you wear your rings 24/7 or during strenuous activities, the coating may wear off quickly, turning your finger green. This is not toxic – it is just a natural reaction. Talay Jewelry is not responsible for this happening.
We recommend following the Care Instructions for regular-plated jewelry for rings to prolong their life! Light wear is fine, but please do not wear your rings while engaging in strenuous hand activities such as dishwashing or showering (or excessive hand-washing during these times). This may scratch the coating, which can cause the protective layer to wear off.
How long does it take for my order to get shipped out?
Please allow up to 10 business days for your order to be shipped out. Usually, we fulfill orders in fewer than 10 business days. In some cases, certain items may take longer and delay your whole order. Please review the product description for full details. Can I change my order once it is placed?
Unfortunately, orders are final once payment is processed. This is because most of our pieces are made-to-order and production begins immediately.
Can I cancel my order?
Orders may not be canceled after payment is processed. Please review your order carefully before purchasing!
Do you offer any discounts/coupons? How do I apply them to my order?
We offer discounts for returning customers. Only one coupon may be applied to your purchase.

Do you offer free shipping?
Orders over $75 ship for free in the United States, and orders over $200 ship free internationally!

How long does shipping take?
Shipping times vary based on the method of shipment. Using USPS First Class Mail (used for free shipping on orders over $75), packages take about 2-5 business days to reach their final destination in the United States. USPS Priority Mail takes 2-3 business days, and USPS Priority Mail Express takes 1-2 business days.
As for international shipping, delivery depends on your location as well as the shipping method. The method we use for free international shipping over $200 is USPS First Class International, which takes 7-21 business days. We also offer other options that will be delivered faster.
Can I change my shipping address?
Unfortunately, we may not be able to fix an incorrect shipping address entered at checkout. Please contact us as soon as possible after placing the order if you have entered the wrong address or information.
If we have not printed the shipping label yet, we may be able to fix the address for no additional charge. If the label has already been printed, your order will incur double the cost of shipping. If the package has already been sent, it is, unfortunately, out of our hands.
What if my package was lost/stolen?
After a package leaves our studio, it is the carrier's job to update and process the package. Talay Jewelry is not responsible for any events after the package is sent out, including lost or stolen packages. If it is noted that your package was delivered, but you did not receive it, please contact USPS (or the carrier it was shipped with) for further information and assistance.
If the wrong shipping address was used and the package is returned to us, the customer has the responsibility of paying for the package to be redelivered.

Do you sell your jewelry in brick-and-mortar locations?
At this time, we only sell our jewelry online. Occasionally, we sell at pop-ups, trunk shows, or at local markets. For more information on which locations we are visiting and when, please follow our social media accounts for updates!

Every order comes ready-to-gift with a bag or box depending on the pieces ordered. In order to be more sustainable, we package all of the pieces in one bag or box.
